BUSINESS MUMS HUB

Behind the build · 17 May 2026

MY BEAUTIFUL EMBER.

hi lovely,

Last year I burnt down a $20k a month business and started all over again.

A business coach once called me a phoenix. She wasn't the first. I've been called it many times and every time, I took it as a compliment.

But here's the thing nobody ever said out loud.

I probably wouldn't need to be a phoenix if I stopped burning things down.

Burning things down feels good to me. It's not bravery. It's escape. The discomfort of something not working, the boredom of consistency, the slow grind of fixing it. Easier to torch it and start fresh.

I have ADHD. Making money has always been easy for me. I'm genuinely great at what I do. My brain, blessed with dyslexia and ADHD, doesn't see the world the way most people do. I see opportunity in every problem. I'm a trailblazer.

But I also leave a trail of fire behind me that keeps burning.

So this time I'm doing it differently.

This build is intentionally slow. It's an ember. And I'm going to nourish it and protect it. No grand relaunch. No blaze. No phoenix moment. Just one small, steady glow that I am refusing to let go out.

Because here's what I actually dream of. Us. Back together.

I've done online. It works. It absolutely works. But it's transactional. And we as mums don't need another transactional thing. We need other mums. We need to body double. We need to co-regulate, which is the proper word for what happens when one nervous system syncs up with another. Sit next to a woman who gets it and something in your body settles. You can feel it.

And the stats back it up. You are 92% more likely to achieve your goals when you work regularly alongside other people.

So I'm sitting with my tiny ember. At a table by myself if I need to.

Building a business that doesn't rise from the ashes. One that grows slowly. That has systems and processes. That isn't reactive, isn't built on an ADHD hit, isn't another bonfire waiting to happen.

A business built to truly support mums by mums.

No phoenix energy required. Just a chair, a coffee, and women who get it.
