I NEED TO TELL YOU ABOUT NIAMH AND ELBA
So Elba owns Unity Real Estate and used to be my property manager when I was renting. Niamh, classic ADHD, runs two businesses. Avoca Weddings and Neev Skincare and Laser.
Both of these gorgeous women came to our Hillcrest Open Coffee back in March. They sat nowhere near each other.
At the end I was talking to Elba and she was telling me how she'd gotten her skin looking so incredible. And incredible it bloody was. I genuinely added her skin to my goals for when I'm 54.
Anyway. I knew this was right up Niamh's alley so I introduced them.
Within two seconds they were best friends exchanging details. Voices getting louder. Elba is Lebanese, Niamh is Irish, so you can imagine nothing about that conversation was quiet. They were animated, loud, brilliant. After saying goodbye for what felt like 73 hours, they finally went home and I thought nothing of it.
Until this moment.
Turns out they simply couldn't wait four weeks to see each other again and had been catching up on the side.
Lately I've been an idiot with my medication. I have Graves Disease which basically means if I don't take my meds my body goes into fight or flight and my thoughts get really dark. Typical ADHD, I take it, feel heaps better, convince myself I'm cured and stop taking it. A Christmas miracle! Turns out I just felt better because I was taking it. Shocking, I know. In those times I question why I even bother. Why I blew up a $20k a month business to start again from scratch.
But the answer is that photo.
Scroll up and look at it. Really look at it. See the joy. See the closeness. See the not giving a damn and the true connection.
Last year I felt so lost. I was making great money and aching on the inside.
Now my smile is just as big as theirs. And I feel unstoppable.
That is the power of women coming together.
Come and find your Elba. Come and find your Niamh.
